Global BC News Story about accessibility of pier with Susan Bains

​Susan Bains was also interviewed most recently about her efforts to make the White Rock Pier accessible.  She has investigated further about possible sources of funding, along with possible solutions that will not only rid the pier of any barriers, but also protect the integrity of the wood of the pier.

Global BC News Story regarding inaccessibility of White Rock Pier

After many failed attempts at crossing the pier safely, Kiran Aujlay reached out to the public and the city in the hopes of garnering support to implement a safe solution that would allow wheelchair users and others with assistive devices, to be able to cross the pier successfully.  Global BC was notified after Kiran's post went public and garnered a great deal of support.
