Nothing about us, without us - In Action
We are professionals and advocates who believe public spaces and venues succeed only when accessible to all. Working with city planners, governments, and businesses, we turn intent into inclusive design that meets diverse needs. We amplify a shared voice to ensure accessibility is defined by its users and that equal access fosters social connection and economic growth.
We're the team making things happen.
We come from different walks of life, with different life experiences but one common goal: to make this world a more accessible place.
Current project: BC Walk & Roll Accessibility Parade
The first large Accessibility Parade in Surrey, BC will take place in May 2026 during National AccessAbility Week, celebrating disability and inclusion. ♿
The event will feature accessible viewing zones and low-sensory spaces for all attendees. The Equal Access Collective is helping lead the effort to promote universal design and lasting accessibility improvements.
Future project: Accessible Parking
A number of our members have been consulting with city workers to identify more accessible parking, including van accessible parking in the city of White Rock.
